La Musica was privileged to be part of an international consortium of chamber music presenters in commissioning Michael Stephen Brown to compose a companion piece to Saint-Saens’s Carnival of the Animals. Both works were performed on April 9, 2026 at the Sarasota Opera House and were given an encore performance at the new Mote SEA on April 10.
